AllerAir Air Filters - How do they work?
Aller Air home air filters have a unique air filtration system that delivers
the purest air possible. The air first passes through a pre-filter
where large particles are removed. After this, the air passes
through a high quality coconut shell activated carbon filter,
the amount dependent upon the model purchased, where gases, chemicals,
odors and vapors such as second hand smoke or other ambient air
toxins are adsorbed. The air then enters two anti-microbial filters
before going on to the 80 square feet of HEPA media. This is the
point where 99.97% of all particulate larger than .3 microns are
removed from the air before being sent back out into the room.
If you choose the UV model, the air is further purified by circulating
it around a UV lamp, exposing the air long enough to kill pathogens.
Aller Air's UV model will lower bacterial counts lower than if
it were done through ventilating the room at a rate of 100 air
exchanges per hour. The normal rate of air exchanges for most
homes over the same period of time is no more than one half dozen
times. It is for this reason, that HEPA filters are recommended
by more allergists, medical professionals and clean air consultants,
than any other filter system available.
How AllerAir high efficiency home air filters
work.
AllerAir air cleaners use a 4 phase filtering system. In the order
that the air passes through them they are: pre-filter, the mass
activated carbon bed (MAC-B) filter, the 2 anti-microbial filters
and the HEPA filter.
1. The pre-filter traps larger
dust particles and is easily removed and cleaned with a vacuum
cleaner. It acts to stop the larger particles such as dust and
lint from clogging the other filters.
2. The mass activated carbon
bed (MAC-B) filter adsorbs gases and odors. (Adsorb: no it's
not a typo. This is the process by which activated carbon captures
gases and odors.) Most off the shelf air cleaners have a few token
ounces of carbon sprayed on the pre-filter. This is not sufficient
to capture more than a small amount of the noxious gases and odors
in the air and for only a short period of time. The MAC-B carbon
filter has pounds of activated carbon (from 7 to 160 lbs.) that
will trap 90% of gases and odors that pass over it. The filter
is effective for many months before needing to be replaced.
3. The 2 anti-microbial filters
kill the airborne microbes that pass through them.
4. The HEPA filter traps the
airborne particles. These filters, which were developed by the
Atomic Energy Commission to trap radioactive particles, can capture
99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. That is as small
as some bacteria.
Other features not readily available with other brands of home air filters
are:
- Metal housing
- High efficiency unsheathed motors
- Separate HEPA and CARBON filters
- Anti-microbial filters
- Patented dual air flow circulation
The result is healthy clean air in your home or office.

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that I am very happy with the unit that
I purchased from you. (6000)
I have chronic sinusitis and have tried a lot of different
air cleaners but yours is the best. No longer do I wake up in
the morning with a stuffy head, pounding headache or runny nose.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!! You have a fine product that Id recommend to
anyone! Have a nice day :-).

To whom it may concern,
After buying a Honeywell air cleaner, I did some research
and found out that it has nearly twice the power consumption
of an Allerair 4000. I wondered why the company doesn't widely
publicize the power consumption of its units. I read about the
Allerair 4000 and figured that I could save much more money
in the long run. After receiving the Allerair 4000, I discovered
that it not only uses less power than my Honeywell, but is also
more powerful and effective! The air coming out of the unit
smells crisper and fresher than with my Honeywell and the electric
meter turns at a slower rate. I wish I knew about Aller air
cleaners before wasting my money on a Honeywell air cleaner.
Theres no reason for me to doubt that Allerair air cleaners
are the best on the market.
Thanks
P.B.

Fabri*zone Cleaning Systems
Attention: Helder Junior
Dear Helder
When our organization opened our office in the old GE plant,
in Berrie, the air quality in the building was very poor. There
was little air circulation and our staff were experiencing headaches,
fatigue and various other discomforts related to the air quality.
We definitely needed to find a solution to this serious problem.
After examining a few different options, Helder of Fabri*zone
recommended that we try the Allerair Air Purifier for a period
of time and see if that made a difference. After having the
unit in the office for a couple of weeks we definitely noticed
a difference in the air quality. The staff indicated that the
headaches and the fatigue that they were experiencing were greatly
reduced with the use of the air purifier. I would recommend
the use of this purifier to anyone who is experiencing the same
problems in air quality that we were.

Dear Diane King,
I am writing to inform you of how satisfied I am with the air filter
system that your company has sold to Duffys Bar.
The air quality has improved immensely and our clients have
mentioned that there is a noticeable difference.
Thank you, again,
Sincerely,

Subject: Testimonial
Dear Sam:
Before purchasing your air cleaner, I was
taking prescription allergy medication at
bedtime to relieve sinus drainage. Since
operating your Model 4000 at night with the
bedroom doors closed, I have found that I can
forego the medication entirely. The air must
be so free of dust mite allergens that I can
sleep better without the drug. Waking up
this refreshed is well worth the cost. thank
you!
Sincerely,

Yes we have two of the AllerAir units.
We use the units in a in vitro fertilization program and need
to filter out biological, particular, and odors (air born organics).
We routinely test the lab for biological contaminates (bacteria)
using culture techniques, and particulate materials by microscopy
examination.
While we do not test for air borne organics per say, their effect on culture
of our embryos would be readily apparent if there was a problem. Since we
started using the units we have had no problems with air borne interference
with culture and have had no positive tests for bacterial contaminates.
While we still have minor dust problems (Which comes from our house
air supply) they have been greatly reduced by having the freestanding
filtration units in the room (I would estimate about an 80-90%
reduction).
So, yes overall we are extremely pleased with the units and have no
problems recommending them to others.
Please feel free to ask any questions you think we can help with.
Signed, Dr. Sam Prien
