Plastics can produce a gas when warmed up by the operating temperature of any machine. The
complete line of Aller Air air cleaners is all metal in their construction with a baked on finish, eliminating this
possibility of gas being created and introduced into the air.
HEPA Filter
This air filter traps 99.97% of all particles down to 0.3 microns,
including harmful fibers, dust, pollens, dust mites and pet dander.
Developed by the Atomic Energy Commission, these filters were
designed to remove radioactive dust from plant exhaust. They are
now part of the primary filtration systems for electronic clean
room assembly, isolation wards, surgical theaters, bioengineering,
pharmaceutical processing, and other applications where the maximum
reduction or removal of sub-micron particulate is required.
AllerAir medical grade HEPA filters are warm rolled to avoid cracking at the pleats. Other manufacturers use less expensive cold rolled hepa filters.
Mass Activated Carbon Bed (MAC-B)
filter
The mass activated carbon filters are manufactured from premium
materials such as coconut shells, anthracite and bituminous coal.
They demonstrate superior performance on an extensive array of
air treatment applications. Mass Activated Carbon can trap 60%
of its own weight of gases and odors.
This filter entraps odors, chemicals, fumes, cigarette smoke and
gases ( formaldehyde, radon and fluorine gas to name only
a few ) usually found in homes, offices and industries.
VOCARB
models use an enhanced carbon filter which provide additional
protection where greater adsorption is required for mold mycotoxins,
formaldehyde,
ethylene, heavy metals from cigarette
smoke, lower weight hydrocarbons, ammonia and VOCs (volatile organic
compounds). VOCs are carbon based airborne chemicals released by many common
household
products such as disinfectants, cleaners, air fresheners, paints, aerosol
sprays, wood preservatives, paint strippers and other solvents.
Pro-Dense Pre-Filter
Made of extra dense media to capture large dust particles before they reach the HEPA filter. Easily
replaced at minimal cost or vacuum cleaned.
UV ( Ultra-Violet )
Ultra violet light destroys viruses, bacteria, microbes, germs,
mold spores and Mycotoxins which are a byproduct of molds and
can affect humans and animals. After passing through the other
three filters in the air purifier, the already filtered air is
circulated around the UV lamp, allowing for exposure time which
in turn further purifies the air.
AllerAir's UV model will lower the bacterial count more than
if it were done through ventilating a room at a rate of 100
air exchanges per hour. The normal rate for most homes
is no more than one half dozen times per hour!
